Why did two hypnotherapists come together to write a book about overthinking?
The inspiration to create this book certainly sparked from personal experience. What truly motivated Roberto was witnessing how many people he knows have made overthinking a daily habit, almost as if it is second nature to their routine. He believes this is an issue that can be effectively addressed with awareness and knowledge about a problem that, in many cases, people don’t even know how to name. Yet, it was significantly affecting their lives without them realising it.
When he came to Mengjia with this phenomenon, it immediately struck her as a highly relatable situation. Overthinking has constantly been a consequential obstacle in her clients’ well-being journeys, particularly for those who have tried numerous methods. They often become caught up in overanalysing the root causes of their issues, the techniques used in sessions, and the effectiveness of the outcomes. Therefore, hindering the progress of a session and their future growth.

Meet the authors

Roberto Di Pietro
Roberto embodies a winner mentality, believing that everything is possible. His mission is to enhance the mental well-being of clients through services that transform limiting beliefs, promote personal growth, and manage various challenges such as stress, anxiety, and trauma.
As a certified Hypnotherapist trained in Dave Elman techniques, Roberto’s journey began with a deep fascination for nature and martial arts, which eventually led him to explore Chi-energy under a Kung-Fu master. Over the past three decades, he has embraced diverse practices including Tai-Chi, Shiatsu, Meditation, Kinesiology, NLP, and Hypnosis.
With a formal background in management, including owning a company in the automotive sector for over a decade, Roberto’s life took a transformative turn following his recovery from thyroid cancer. This experience reignited his passion for holistic healing, and he now actively helps others recognize the powerful connection between mind and body as a Certified Omni Hypnotherapist, Meditation Teacher, and Manifestation Facilitator.

Mengjia Chen
Mengjia is a certified Hypnotherapist, breathwork instructor & yoga teacher. Through her own healing journey from an abdominal surgery and burnout, she created a therapeutic mindfulness framework to help people improve their wellbeing holistically, and leverage the power of Hypnosis for a deeper and faster result.
She specialises in (but not limited to) anxiety & stress reduction, pain management, healing, and confidence improvement. And she also uses her learning of Chinese tea ceremony to coach and promote a mindful lifestyle.
While Mindfulness remains the core, Hypnotherapy is her strongest tool to bring people resolutions in one session. It is a super effective method that brings you into a trance state where your conscious mind has quieted. This allows you to directly communicate with your subconscious mind that is the temple of your emotions, memories and protection. She has helped many who received clarity, courage and healing in her powerful and magic sessions.
